Advent begins in Beckenham
We said goodbye to Karen’s sister, Jen, today.
Sadly Covid restrictions have taken much of the humanity out of times like this; words and ceremony have to stand alone: no hugging, no shaking hands, no departing to a pub wake to move from mourning through the retelling of stories of Jen’s life not known to all, or long near forgotten, and so to celebrate a life lived well.
Rush hour Covid style
One for sorrow…

Pottering about busy doing nothing
There is always something interesting coming or going in Portsmouth harbour.
Today the scene at The Point was dominated by the super yacht Anatta’s Spinnaker. Behind her you can seen HMS Prince of Wales and at the left of the image you see the Gosport Ferry and the minehunter HMS Cattistock.
Somewhere in Beckenham…
Short days and long nights are okay but the rotten weather made my plans for a wander redundant today.
Rain all day so looking at old photos. My 42nd anniversary today. It’s a bit like a birthday.
Lockdown is busy at Beckenham Place Park
Covid allowed exercise in Beckenham Recreation Ground
Friends and family. Thanks Jan.
